[edit] Summary
Brendan seeks to become a priest so as to avoid fulfilling his destiny as a warlock to complete the triangle of the Evil Charmed Ones with his half-brothers. Prue tries to help Brendan resist the urge to succumb to his evil side and stay on the right path, after witnessing a confrontation between him and his brothers. Meanwhile, Phoebe tries to get Piper to stop shying away from a date with Josh.
[edit] Plot
Brendan talks with Father Austin and fears that he is a fraud. He comes from generations of warlocks and wants to change, but feels weak. The priest tries to reassure him. His brothers, warlocks named Greg and Paul, confront him in the church; they want him to join them.
Phoebe has a vision of Brendan being attacked in the church. The sisters enter the church and Prue flings Greg and Paul, who flee.
Paul suggests letting Brendan go, but Greg insists on bringing him in, which will create an evil coven, a sort of evil set of Charmed Ones. Brendan is to be ordained as a priest tomorrow; once this is done, he will never be a warlock.
Prue and Phoebe try to talk Piper into going out with Josh.
Prue talks to Father Austin and warns him of Greg and Paul. Father Austin had expected them to come sooner or later, but is reticent with further details.
Josh asks Piper out and Phoebe agrees to cover for her at Quake.
Prue goes horseback riding with Brendan. She asks who attacked him and he says it doesn't matter, as tomorrow he will be a priest and safe from them.
Piper goes rock climbing with Josh. She takes a fall Josh catches her. They exchange "the look" and Piper starts to panic. She freezes the scene and calls Phoebe. The sink is overflowing in the Quake kitchen and when Piper realizes the emergency, she unfreezes the scene and leaves for Quake.
At the church, Brendan is standing over Father Austin, who is injured. He shows a demonic face. Prue walks in and he resumes his human face and flees. Brendan insists that it was rage over what was done to Father Austin that made him this way, but Prue is skeptical -- there's no such thing as a good warlock. Father Austin is rushed to the hospital and a nun identifies Brendan to Andy and Darryl.
Brendan tells Prue that he is only half warlock, that his mother is human. He tells her of the Rogue Coven, and that he didn't want to be part of it.
Brendan confronts his brothers. He tries to kill them, but Greg gestures, lighting several candles and revealing a young woman spread on an altar. Greg and Paul urge Brendan to stab her, but the Charmed Ones arrive and the brothers flee. Andy talks to the young woman and she gives the names of Brendan and Prue.
Prue shelters Brendan at the manor. He admits that he also gave in to evil and is again unsure of himself. Prue believes in him and defends him to her sisters. The doorbell rings and Andy is at the door, demanding to know where Brendan is. The sisters give no answers.
In Brendan's cell at the rectory, Greg and Paul chant, giving Brendan disturbed sleep. Brendan returns to his cell and offers to join his brothers. Greg demands the sacrifice of Prue. Prue meets Brendan at the rectory and he has a knife in his hand. Prue flings Brendan and he assumes his demon face. Piper and Phoebe join them and Prue talks Brendan out of killing her.
Greg and Paul confront Brendan and the sisters. Rick throws a knife, but Brendan pulls Greg in front of him. The knife mortally wounds Greg, who pulls the knife and throws it back at Rick. The two brothers vanish and Brendan proceeds to his ordination.
Father Austin has identified Greg and Paul as his attackers and Prue is off the hook. The sisters are together at Quake when Josh appears; it was Piper who called him and they seek another table.

[edit] Quotes
- (Josh walks up behind them.)
- Josh: I would like a glass of Clara Jenson please. Ninety three if you got it.
- Piper: Josh.
- Josh: Good start. You recognized me.
- Piper: What are you doing here? (quietly to Phoebe) Phoebe!
- Phoebe: (quietly) What?
- Piper: This is such a surprise.
- Josh: Well, I tell ya, I'm gonna cut right to the chase here. You wanna get all hot and sweaty with me? I'm kidding, kidding. I'm on my way to the gym and thought since I can't buy you dinner, we could um, work out together.
- Piper: I'll be right back.
- Phoebe: Uh, so will I.
- Piper: I'm gonna kill you.
- Phoebe: Why? A little exercise, a nice steam, a trip to the juice bar, what could it hurt?
- Piper: (to Phoebe) You should of called me.
- Phoebe: I know, I know. But you had a good time, right?
- Piper: Unfortunately.
- Phoebe: Do you confuse yourself when you do that?
- Piper: I just, I don't know Phoebe, it seems like every guy I've liked lately has been a warlock, a ghost, or otherwise unavailable like Leo. I was just trying to save myself some grief with Josh.
- Phoebe: But Josh is available, and human too ... I think.
- Piper: I just don't want to be disappointed again. I'm tired of falling for the wrong guy, human or supernatural.
- (Prue and Brendan are taking a walk)
- Brendan: A warlock naturally comes from two warlock parents like Greg and Paul do. But they're just my half brothers, I had a different mother.
- Prue: A human mother?
- Brendan: Yes. A wonderfully, human mother.
- Prue: So then we have something in common. My father was human.
- Brendan: The only difference is he came from good. Mine came from pure evil. Descended from an ancient warlock line intent on furthering the Rowe coven. Three brothers destined to become the most powerful force of evil the world has ever known.
- Prue: The evil charmed ones.
