- "You are being punished for your greed. As for your friends…"
- —The guardian while killing Wesley.[src]
Wesley was one of three mortals who stole an expensive urn from Cairo, alongside Palmer Kellogg and Clay Muniz. Although they were aware of the curse, they did not believe in such things and planned to sell the urn.
History[]
While breaking into the mansion, Wesley and Palmer discussed the curse, though neither believed in it. However, neither of them told Clay about it. After stealing the urn, the three thieves agreed to split up while Clay would take the urn to San Francisco, where they would get Prue Halliwell to sell it through Buckland Auction House.
Before Wesley could escape, he was confronted by the Guardian of the Urn. She told him he would be punished for his greed and conjured a spider to poison and kill him. This was witnessed by Palmer, who then wanted to sell the urn as soon as possible.
Wesley's body was recovered and brought back to his family in New York. The guardian attached herself to his crate and followed him to San Francisco in order to find Palmer, Clay, and the urn.
