The Vanishing Spell is a spell in the Warren Book of Shadows. It allows the caster to make any object or disturbance disappear.

History

Paige Matthews

Phoebe's spots begin to vanish.

Shortly after becoming a witch, Paige Matthews stole the Book of Shadows and started casting spells at her work. One of the spells she cast was this spell, which she used to clear up the complexion of her co-worker Billy.

A few months later, Paige used this spell on one of her abused clients, Carolyn Seldon, after she was beat up by her ex right before her custody hearing.

Right before the wedding of Phoebe and Cole, Paige used this spell once again in an attempt to clear Phoebe's acne. However, as the acne was a result of Cole using magic to ruin the wedding, the spell backfired and caused Phoebe to become invisible.

The fourth time Paige cast this spell was at the aftermath of Cole's first vanquish as The Source of All Evil. The explosion destroyed the penthouse and Paige used this spell to return it to normal to avoid suspicion.

The fifth and last time that she used this spell was during Season 6 in order to clean the manor which suffered from disarray from a vortex caused by a demon.

Piper Halliwell

The Manor vanishes.

In 2003, Piper Halliwell used this spell while being cursed by a Witch Doctor. His curse caused her to become obsessed with cleaning, which spiralled out of control to the point where she made the entire Halliwell Manor disappear with this spell. However, once the curse was broken, she cast the reversal spell before the neighbors noticed.

A year later, Piper used this spell to make the Golden Gate Bridge vanish on live television. She and her sisters decided to expose magic as protest against The Cleaners until they returned Wyatt to them.
