This actually seems like an interesting Comic. I think I will go out of my way to find this it seems like a very good plot.
i can't wait for this and i think buffy and charmed may have a crossover seeing as how they lose magic and magic is exposed. They could try and get magic back. Thewitch1221 15:38, January 29, 2012 (UTC)
I doubt that. Buffy and Charmed are a part of two different continuities. FANaticyeah 21:33, January 29, 2012 (UTC)
And they mentions Buffy in Charmed before.Eric Jenkins 21:44, January 29, 2012 (UTC)
Got to agree with FANaticyeah. Zenescope do Charmed while Dark Horse Comics do the Buffy series. Plus a lot wouldn't work continuity wise: vampires are pretty different in Charmed for example, as are witches... and I don't know what exactly will cause the loss of magic in Charmed, but I doubt it'll have anything to do with Buffy destroying the seed P3nathan
Every time they mention Buffy it meant Buffy the tv series. Similar to how they mention Bewitched and Passions.Kt111 01:45, January 30, 2012 (UTC)
but currently in buffy comics she is in san fransisco. they both lose magic at some point and i know it may not happen but i'm just sayinging it could Thewitch1221 06:28, January 30, 2012 (UTC)
Even if they managed to get the rights and stuff, a crossover would never work because the magic in buffy and charmed is completely different, just like demons and vampires being different and the underworld/hellmouth. A crossover is just impossible. Charmdozo 13:12, January 30, 2012 (UTC)
I can only dream of having Buffy and Piper in the same story... PERFECTION! AngelWings 15:01, January 30, 2012 (UTC)
When Does It Come Out??
What the hell is going on?!Edit
This issue is crazy!!! What has Rennek done?! FANaticyeah 21:28, March 21, 2012 (UTC)
Not sure how I feel about the jump-forward to be honest. It's an interesting idea though. Love that Elise is involved P3nathan
Yeah, I was wary about it at first too, but after rereading the issue over three times, I understood that it was a storytelling choice that Paul had to make. I think it's very interesting and I can't wait to see what comes next. FANaticyeah 22:34, March 21, 2012 (UTC)
The storyline sounds completely bizarre, but it will be a while before I can read it probably. Charmdozo 23:26, March 21, 2012 (UTC)
If "Charmed" hadn't jumped the shark before, it sure as hell did now. I'm guessing all the mortals are going to go insane like that doctor in "Astral Monkey" since they aren't meant to have those powers. They aren't magical beings, thus having magical powers is unnatural for them. I'm guessing Rennek's plan is to just sit back, relax, and watch as the destruction unfolds.22.214.171.124 06:09, March 30, 2012 (UTC)Logan
I think that Parker had something to do with the power switching.
I'm sure that Rennek is the one behind all of this. And I doubt Parker has the power to do what's happened to the world, especially six months before she was even born when she was barely even a baby forming in Phoebe's belly. FANaticyeah 17:12, March 22, 2012 (UTC)
I noticed that Parker's birth has a lot of similarities with Wyatt's birth having both taken place at the manor during a time were their was some problems with magic. It would be great if Paul did something similar to the twice blessed storyline by making Parker the only Warren witch with magical abilities or temporarily being the heir to the power of three and having all the powers of the Warren/Halliwell line of maybe just the main three. That way Phoebe, Piper and Paige could tap into those powers and possibly restore the natural order. Again it's just wishful thinking since I'm pretty sure Prue is gonna be the one that fixes the magical switch.Kt111 22:59, March 21, 2012 (UTC)
I think you're kinda forgetting the nexus was destroyed, so being born in the manor really isn't that special anymore. Charmdozo 23:22, March 21, 2012 (UTC)
The nexus had nothing to do with Wyatt being twice blessed. According the the twice blessed prophecy the location of the birth had nothing to do with how powerful the child would be. The influence the nexus had was related to the morality of both Phoebe and Wyatt. I just said it would be a good storyline since in my opinion the fact that magic switched sides altering the natural balance is a big deal and could explain why Paul decided to have the birth at the start of the issue instead of Phoebe just being pregnant, but like i said before i think Prue will be the key to fixing the problem.Kt111 23:33, March 21, 2012 (UTC)
Okay, sorry, guess I misread your first post. Charmdozo 23:35, March 21, 2012 (UTC)
Just an idea. But on another note does anyone else really like the name Parker for a baby girl since i dont think it was among Wyatt's possible names.Kt111 23:40, March 21, 2012 (UTC)
Well it's definitely not what I expected, which I love, because I didn't want Phoebe to go for something too obvious. I didn't actually know Parker was a unisex name, but I like it, it's different. P3nathan
I've always liked it more as a boy's name, though I've seen it used for girls in several fictions. I used to create a half-brother to the sisters instead of Paige in an old fic myself. Charmdozo 23:45, March 21, 2012 (UTC)
I was kind of expecting her to go for something more feminine: Poppy, Portia, Peyton, Priya were all options that ran though my mind, but as I said I didn't realise Parker could be used for a girl. Parker makes me think of Lynette Scavo's children, she also has a P tradition in naming her kids P3nathan
I know, but I really like the names Preston, Porter and Parker for boys, but I can't stop thinking about the Scavo's either. I like Priya and Peyton (though I prefer Payton cause the other reminds me too much of Tree Hill, and I do't like that Peyton). However, Poppy is just horrible. And considering I just saw the Hunger Games, which was awsome, I once again really like Peeta as well, and Primrose. Charmdozo 23:56, March 21, 2012 (UTC)
I really like Primrose/Prim/Rosie (especially for a baby) as well Portia, Peyton, Poppy (like the flower), and Penny (after Grams) for the other baby girl. But i was thinking of nicknames for Parker and so far it would be Park until we know what her middle name will be.Kt111 00:05, March 22, 2012 (UTC)
I guess I wasn't too shocked that she named her daughter Parker because I know a few females with that name. I think Parker is a great name and it was always among a list of three names I thought Phoebe would name her daughter: Parker, Peyton, and Patience. FANaticyeah 00:09, March 22, 2012 (UTC)
I like Parker, Melinda and Piper. They are great names.:) Prudence, not so much.Superlana 00:20, March 22, 2012 (UTC)
Why is this issue even released this early? Is it some kind of mistake, there aren't even any preview pages yet and the release date is set for the 28th. Charmdozo 19:16, March 22, 2012 (UTC)
How you guys got the issue?Edit
I searched everywhere but I can't find the issue? Not on ComiXology, not on Zenescope app, not on the Zenescope site, ...?
You can buy the issue digitally on graphicly.com. FANaticyeah 20:26, March 22, 2012 (UTC)
I was finally able to read the issue, though I'm still not sure I like the storyline. The issue itself gave no explanation whatsoever and pretty much nothing happened, besides the weirdness, it was just boring, but I can understand needing time to set up the story. I guess we still have to wait to see what happened and will happen. On a seperate note, reading the issue, I'm pretty sure Henry Jr.'s powers are temporary after all, unfortunately. Charmdozo 19:25, March 31, 2012 (UTC)
I like the storyline ahaha. And there has to be some sort of exposition to what was going in the world before we just jump into what was happening. One thing about Season 9 is that Paul has to create situations for the sisters that don't contradict how the battle with Billie, Christy, and the Triad was their final destined battle. Neena, being connected to the All and the higher realms, was explained as being outisde destiny's reach, and Prue coming back was something no one could see coming. Now Rennek didn't actually want to go after the sisters, they were merely pawns in his plans to get to Leo and take what he needed from his subconscious. Now the entire world is affected and not just the sisters. So I think Paul is doing great with what he can. The issue wasn't that boring to me, it was just very explainy. I mean Phoebe gave birth to her daughter, I don't know about you but whenever Piper gave birth in the show, it was always really exciting to me, and it didn't change for Phoebe. And I think Henry Jr. having permanent powers would be WAY too much of a cop out. Everything just can't be easy-peazy lemon squeezy. It's gonna be a challenge for Henry being human while his mother and sisters are witches/whitelighters. He's gonna face some self-conscious issues and will more than likely, be attacked or used as bait. We deal with the cards we're given; Paige was adopted and her parents died, the three oldest sisters lost their mother and their father was a deadbeat, everyone has issues growing up and everything isn't gonna be Happily Ever After in the sisters' lives for the next 50 years. Lmfaooo sorry that was a rant.FANaticyeah 05:25, April 21, 2012 (UTC)
Bringing back old characters Edit
I was just thinking, perhaps this storyline will be a reason to bring back some old characters. For example, in theory, Billie will be without her magic, Darryl and his family will all have powers now. It'd be cool to see how they are impacted by the switch. P3nathan
I just realized with Daryll as a cop he'd be one of the people fighting the Magical Gangs. I also believe with all his experience with the Charmed Ones he'd know a thing or two in how to fight against magic making me suspect that Daryll might actually be able to show up again.
Also I like how this has turned out to be, this was so unexpected and different. You have the Charmed Ones who always wanted to be rid of their magic now seeing how much they loved it. You have an epic plot twist that even at the end has exposed magic on the cosmic level (And honestly I don't see Rennek being behind it, what he did has exposed evil too, I don't think he'd do that...) To top it all off Wyatt is without his magic for the first time since birth, I can't wait to see how that turns out.
My only think is Paige's Twins, Will one of them have their powers or no cause I remember they were bound but they unbound themselves, it's confusing to think unless Paige never rebound them.
