The Ruby Slippers are artifacts originated from the fairy tale The Wizard of Oz.

History

The Wizard of Oz

Dorothy Gale was given the slippers by Glinda, the Good Witch of the South, for protection from the Wicked Witch of the West. She later used them to transport herself back to Kansas.

The slippers were later given to the Keeper of the Fairy Tales to preserve the story's records.

Happily Ever After

After Piper vanquished the Evil Witch in the fortress, she needed to get home. Hence, the Keeper of the Fairy Tales lent her the Ruby Slippers from "The Wizard of OZ" so that she could get back.[1]

When she arrived at the manor safely, the slippers disappeared, probably returning to its resting place.

Trivia

  • In the books, the shoes were originally silver. The ruby slippers come from the movie adaptation with Judy Garland as Dorothy.
