Quake

Quake is a local restaurant in the San Francisco Bay Area established in 1987. It is a well-known place, and the sign of the restaurant is cracked, making it look like there has been an earthquake. It is said to be up-scale, and people knew it from Chef Moore, and not from Piper, who quit shortly after she took the job. Phoebe temporarily worked as a waitress, but that didn't last long.
It was Piper's place of employment and also served as a hang out place for the other two Charmed Ones to visit during season one.
In the beginning of the series (Something Wicca This Way Comes), Piper Halliwell applies for the job of Chef at Quake, and eventually is hired by Chef Moore. The next week, Chef Moore quits and leaves Piper as manager. Piper is very stressed by this, as she was not trained for the position. Piper was also left with the responsibility of catering a wedding in The Wedding from Hell but luckily Phoebe was available to help her.
Piper quits Quake a year later (Deja Vu All Over Again) and starts up her own club; P3.
Quake was, other than the manor, the place the girls spent the most time. Quake was in nearly every episode of the first season and still remains one the most memoriable places of the series. Althoughh Quake is a larger establisment it never seemed to have enough employess. Quake is never seen again or really mentioned after Piper leaves, where as when she worked there that's where every date happend same as with P3. At Quake Piper was offically the manager but she had to fill in for nearly every job there including: Sous Chef, waitress, bus boy, Chef's assistant, bartender, hostess, and had to restock the supplies and pay the bills mulitple times.

- In Be Careful What You Witch For, Quake's exterior is used as the one of Cafe Le Blue. The restaurant (again as Cafe Le Blue) reappeared in the season six episode Spin City
- In the episode Dream Sorcerer, Skye tells Whitaker Berman that she isn't aloud to drink with the costumers, although Piper does that mulitple times with her sisters.
- Most of the season's demons preyed on people around the Quake area.
- After Season 1, the only other real reference to Quake was made in the Season 7 Finale when Phoebe and Piper are discussing what spells they could use to fight Zankou.
