Muriel Hammond is a 67-year-old bank president and part of a family of Earthshakers in the novel "The Brewing Storm".
History
Because of her family history, Muriel is already quite familiar with the supernatural world when Piper comes to get her for the ceremony to calm the elements.
Poised, and with a sense of humor and laid-back attitude, she was instrumental in helping the team complete the Circle of Gaea and the ritual. She used a handful of coins as her symbol during the ceremony. She was also the one who told the others about the fifth elemental, namely Darryl Morris, when the ceremony started.
