History
Miranda was friends with Isabella Marshall. When Isabella's husband became horrifyingly controlling, she turned to Miranda for help. Miranda, who specialized in entrapment spells, trapped William's spirit inside an Egyptian painting, covered it up behind another one. She was famous enough to be added into the Halliwells' Book of Shadows.
Decades later, William's spirit was released and his assistant's grandson tracked her down and murdered her.
