Maya Holmes was a model who left the powerful attorney Walter Nance for a younger photographer. Nance was so upset with her decision that he killed the photographer and framed her. She became a fugitive and ran across the state to avoid the police.

After Piper was mistaken to be her (because she cast a disguise projection spell and took on Maya's exact look) and taken to prison, Paige and Billie tracked down the real Maya and made them switch places. However, prior to Maya's capture, Piper found out about Maya's innocence and decided to clear her name.

Walter took Maya into his account and attempted to kill her in his apartment, saying that it's suicide to the rest of the world and throws her off the balcony. Piper and Paige manage to save her before she met the ground. Together with Piper, Phoebe, Paige & Billie, she was able to scare the truth out of Walter and Maya's name was cleaned.
