Matthew Halliwell

Matthew Halliwell is the eldest grandchild of Piper Halliwell and Leo Wyatt. He is believed to be the son of either Wyatt or Chris Halliwell as his powers are whitelighter-based. Other than the fact that he is shown attending his grandfather's class at Magic School, not much else is known about him. According to The Book of Three, Matthew is aged 14 in the year 2050, making him born in 2036. Matthew is the oldest grandson of Piper and Leo's grandchildren, of whom there are 9 by 2050.

He has the power of telekinetic orbing and (presumably) orbing, and he is shown to channel his telekinetic powers through his eyes, similar to the way his deceased great aunt Prue used her power of telekinesis at first. It is possible he may have more powers, but only one is shown.
Since he is part-witch, he will also possess the base abilities of a magical witch such as scrying, potion brewing and spell casting.

- Matthew is most likely Chris' son because he once mentioned that Paige Matthews was his favorite aunt. Alternatively, Matthew could have been named for Wyatt, as Chris and Wyatt are shown to be close in the new future; it's plausible that one would name a child after a favorite family member.
- Matthew could also be Wyatt's son, named after the "Matthew" in his full name, "Wyatt Matthew Halliwell".
- Matthew, however, is most likely NOT Melinda's son because he is part Whitelighter and Melinda is Piper and Leo's only full witch (non-whitelighter) child as she was conceived and born after Leo had become mortal again. However, Melinda could be Matthew's mother IF she too married a whitelighter.
