Malick was a top associate of the newly crowned Source, Cole Turner. He was a powerful demon who, among other things, could shimmer and throw energy balls.

He was charged with killing probation officer Greg Conroy, who had managed to rehabilitate several potential demons. Phoebe, however, received a premonition of Malick's planned attack and enlisted the help of her sisters to protect Greg. However, when Piper tried to blow him up, Phoebe nudged her out of the way, then merely ordered Malick to leave Greg alone. To prevent the rest of the demon world from knowing that the Queen of the Underworld was protecting innocents, Malick went straight to Cole first. Cole thanked him for his honesty before vanquishing him with a look that set him on fire and all the other demons alongside Malick he didn't trust to keep quiet.
