Lawrence Cutler was the father of Melinda Warren.

He was in love with Charlotte Warren, and wanted to marry her. When Charlotte found out that she was pregnant, she wanted to share the news with him, but he was nowhere to be found. Through her daughter's gift of premonition, Charlotte instinctively learned that he would not return. Though the reason for which he left was unknown, Charlotte was certain that Lawrence did not leave her willingly.

Lawrence, like Charlotte, was mortal even though his daughter was a powerful prophesied witch.
