Gnomes

Having no natural enemies, Gnomes are rare magical creatures bestowed with vast knowledge and wisdom of magic, lore and legends. Similar to Leprechauns, Munchkins and Dwarves Gnomes are very small in stature and are identifiable by their pointy red hats and long beards; a female Gnome is identifiable by her green hat. They have the power to steal one's sight, hearing and voice. They have a somewhat spiteful nature but they are good and they have a strong insight to the sanctity of magic.

It is said that direct sunlight turns a Gnome to stone and at night they wander our realm; however, they are found during all hours in hilly areas and woodlands of the Enchanted Realm. Gnomes are considered the most important of the Elemental Spirits.

A Gnome, Mr. Monkeyshines appeared in the episode Charmed Noir where he was a professor in Magic School; he was killed while in the book "Crossed, Double-Crossed."

Paige also refers to the Gnomes in Gone With The Witches while talking to a leprechaun about the Ultimate Power.
