A Genie Bottle contains a genie whose sole purpose is to grant three wishes for whoever controls it. They can also force the genie to obey them against their will. Each bottle contains only one genie. Ownership of the bottle is swayed if someone else picks it up.

History[]

First Genie[]

In 2000, the Council sent a bottle to the Charmed Ones. Phoebe unwittingly released the genie when she brushed off some dust on it. The next morning after freeing himself, the genie willingly returned to the bottle to reverse the damage of the wishes. The Dragon Warlock attacked, and the bottle fell under a bench in the conservatory, where Phoebe retrieved and released the genie again.

After vanquishing the warlock, the sisters wished the genie true freedom and made him mortal. The bottle was not seen again after this.[1]

Jinny[]

Four years later, Phoebe and Chris found another bottle that contained a genie named Jinny. It was originally owned by the demon Bosk, but he dropped it. After wishing Jinny free, Phoebe took her place as the bottle warned against wishing freedom for the genie. Jinny, now a demon again, sent a demon troop in attempt to claim the bottle, but it falls into the hands of Richard Montana, a corrupted witch.

After wishing Phoebe free, Richard became the genie instead. Jinny took the bottle, and wished the Charmed Ones dead, only for Leo to heal Piper before her soul could move on. After trapping Jinny once again, Richard used her to revive the Charmed Ones and bury the city Zanbar. Chris later handed the bottle over to Leo.[2]
