Tereza was a Romani gypsy who owned a fortune telling shop in San Francisco, where she offered palm readings to customers. At the store, she referred to herself as Madame Tereza. She was a Shuvani of the Nicolae tribe and believed in passing on traditions.
History[]
Decades ago, Tereza participated in the cursing of the Gypsy Hunter, Orin, blinding him so that he could no longer hunt and kill gypsies.
In 2002, Tereza was visited by Phoebe Halliwell, who was having trouble with her powers. As Tereza read her palms, she somehow intercepted a premonition. She quickly forced Phoebe to leave and called her friend Lydia Nicolae to warn her. She had foreseen that Orin would be coming for her and worried that Lydia would be next. Before she could end the conversation, Tereza was confronted by Cree, who proceeded to kill her and take her eyes for his father Orin.
When performing a variant of the "To Call Upon Our Ancestors", Ava called upon Tereza as one of her ancestors. Tereza's spirit was presumably one of the ones that showed up to help vanquish Orin.
Powers and Abilities[]
- Basic Powers
- Spell Casting: The ability to cast spells and perform rituals.
- Potion Brewing: The ability to brew potions.
- Mediumship: The ability to see the spirits of the deceased. Gypsies refer to these apparitions as a "Mulo", which is viewed as an omen or warning.
- Palmistry: The ability to read someone's future via their palms. Tereza was able to divine that Phoebe was a witch with the power of foreseeing the future, some of her character traits, and that her power was blocked due to stress and overworking.
- Other Powers
- Channeling: The ability to channel the powers of others to the point where users can take control of activated powers and use them for themselves. Tereza channeled a premonition that was meant for Phoebe, and through it foresaw that a Gypsy Hunter was coming for her.
