Nigel was a warlock who lived in San Francisco in the late 1960s. He was the one who killed Allen Halliwell, Penny Halliwell's first husband.
History[]
Original Timeline[]
In 1967, with the help of his evil witch associate, Robin, he sought to kill the multitude of witches that were gathered at the Halliwell Manor for a "magical be-in." They hoped to take the power of the Nexus for themselves, and massacre a large number of good witches in the process. As part of their plan, Robin ingratiated herself with Penny, to the point they became best friends. However, after Robin killed Penny's husband, Allen, Penny flew into a rage and killed them both in short order.
Altered Timeline[]
In 2004, Paige was transported to 1967 when she put on a pair of Grams's Go-Go Boots, and temporarily altered the future when she tricked Robin into killing herself with her own fireball. Nigel blinked into the manor shortly afterward, expecting to help start the planned massacre, only to find that Penny, Allen and the Charmed Ones had sent everyone home. Penny and Allen, true to their hippie nature, initially weren't willing to fight him, but this only made Nigel angrier. He threw a fireball at Penny, but Allen jumped in front of it, sacrificing his life for Penny's. He later came back to finish off Penny and the Charmed Ones, but Penny angrily flung him around the room before vanquishing him with a spell.
Powers and Abilities[]
- Basic Powers
- Spell Casting: The ability to cast spells and perform rituals.
- Potion Brewing: The ability to brew potions.
- Scrying: The ability to locate a person or object by use of a scrying crystal and a map.
- Active Powers
- Blinking: The ability to teleport in a blink of an eye.
- Fireballs: The ability to create balls made out of complete fire.
- Temporal Stasis: The ability to slow down or completely stop the flow of time.
- Other Powers
- Power Absorption: The ability to absorb magical powers leaving the original owner without any of their powers. As a warlock, Nigel did so by killing his victims with a athame.
- High Resistance: The ability to survive attacks by weapons or powers.
Vanquishing Spell[]
There is a spell created by Penny Halliwell that effectively vanquished Nigel and turned him into a rain of flowers:
- Snuff this warlock, his days are done
- But make him good for the ecosystem.
Notes and Trivia[]
- Nigel is the last warlock in the television series to be encountered by the Charmed Ones, though he was vanquished by Penny.
- Nigel and Robin's fireballs looked like the ones used by upper level demons such as the Source of All Evil and the Triad.
