"Hold it, I get it. This is a practical joke, right? Do you have a hidden camera here? My second wife put you up to this? Ah, it's just like her."
—Dr. Griffiths to the sisters.[src]

Dr. Bo Griffiths was a mortal surgeon who worked at San Francisco Memorial Hospital.

History[]

In the spring of 2001, the Source of All Evil marked him for death and sent his assassin Shax after him. Phoebe got a premonition of him being killed, and the Charmed Ones accosted him at work and took him to the manor for safekeeping.

Griffiths was convinced this was all a practical joke until Shax blew into the manor. He was about to hit Griffiths with an air blast, but Prue pushed him out of the way and took the blast instead. Shax then blasted Piper as well, and was about to kill Griffiths when Phoebe rushed downstairs and cast the vanquishing spell. However, it only repelled him, as the spell required the Power of Three for its full effect. Afterward, Griffiths promised to keep the sisters' secret.

Hours later, after the sisters were inadvertently outed as witches on live television, they realized Shax might take another run at Griffiths. Prue and Piper rushed back to the hospital to get him. Just as they were bundling him into Prue's car, Shax blew in again, and Prue and Piper repelled him with the spell.

Dr. Griffiths later broke his vow of secrecy and gave an interview about his encounter with Shax and the sisters. When Piper was shot later in the day by Alice Hicks, Prue rushed her to the hospital, where Dr. Griffiths tried to save her life. Unfortunately, Piper had been mortally wounded and died.

After Tempus reset time, Shax came after Griffiths again. However, Phoebe had agreed to stay in the Underworld as a condition for allowing time to be reset, and wasn't there to keep Shax from carrying out his hit. After blasting Prue and Piper, he blasted Griffiths through the window, killing him.

Notes and Trivia[]

  • The exact reason for the Source ordering a hit on Griffiths has never been made clear.
    • Prue called Dr. Griffiths a healer and says that either he has saved too many people or is about to save a life that the Source doesn't want him to save. If the latter is true, the person or people he was still destined to save were doomed upon his death.
  • Dr. Griffiths had at least two ex-wives, as he mentioned his second ex-wife liked to play practical jokes.
