- "Whoa, whoa, whoa. Where you going? We agreed no more triad reports, not until my plan succeeds. I can't be associated with anymore failed attempts."
- —Cole Turner to the shadow.[src]
The Shadow Demon was a mysterious entity that served as a personal messenger between upper-level demons and their superiors. It first served Belthazor while he was hired by the Triad, and later fullfilled a similar role for Sykes as he worked for the Source of All Evil.
History[]
Working for Cole[]
During his time working for the Triad, Cole often used the shadow as a messenger. He first sent it to report to the Triad after encountering Leo for the first time.[1] He sent it to report again after he started getting closer to Phoebe after an unsuccesful attempt to steal the Book of Shadows.[2]
After Cole sent Prue on the path to find Vinceres, the shadow showed a mind of its own when it tried to report to the Triad without Cole's consent. Cole stopped it, telling it that it could only report back once the plan had succeeded.[3] When Phoebe told Cole about a a fight with her sisters, he figured out a plan to destroy them by having Andras drive them apart and sent the shadow to inform the Triad.[4]
Working for Sykes[]
After Cole turned to the side of good due to his love for Phoebe, the shadow was sent to act as a messenger for Sykes, who assumed a similar cover to Cole as disctrict attorney. When Sykes targeted a coven of witches, he lured Susan to his office and told the shadow to stand guard. However, Leo noticed the shadow and was able to save Susan in time.[5]
