This Book of Shadows existed in an illusionary world created by the Source of All Evil inside the mind of Piper Halliwell. In this world, the sisters were patients in a mental institution and only believed themselves to be witches.[1]
When Piper asked Phoebe for the Book of Shadows, she revealed a small notebook concealed behind a drawer. The book included childlike crayon illustrations of demons the Charmed Ones had faced, such as Belthazor, Banshees and the Ice Cream Man and the Nothing. This further helped Piper realize something was wrong.
