The Animal Conjuring Spell was created by Prue Halliwell and written in the Book of Shadows prior to her death. In order to successfully cast it, one requires the use of a potion with unknown powders.
History[]
According to Leo, this spell is difficult to master, and it took Prue at least a couple of days to master it.[1]
Thinking that she was not as good as Prue due to her having yet to reach Prue's level of skill, Paige attempted to cast the spell, believing that it would make Piper and Phoebe accept her more.
After an enlightening encounter with Barbas that boosted her confidence, Paige was finally able to master the difficult spell, conjuring doves through it.

- This is one of the many things Prue seemed to have discussed with Leo before her death. She also taught him how to use Astral Projection.[2]
