Biography[]
Michael Trevino from "The Vampire Diaries" played Tyler Lockwood on The CW drama. Tyler is a volatile young man who clashes with many of the show's characters. In Season 2 it is revealed that Tyler is a werewolf. Previously, Michael Trevino starred as Jimmy Smith's oldest son Jaime Vega on CBS' "Cane."
Born to Mexican parents in Valencia, California, Michael Trevino was raised in East Los Angeles. Once Michael Trevino discovered his passion for acting, he enrolled at Playhouse West for theater studies. One of his first jobs was an Old Navy Commercial. Since then, Michael Trevino has had guests spots in various shows, including "Charmed", "Summerland", "Bones", “90210", "The Mentalist" and "CSI: Miami". Most recently Michael Trevino had a five-episode guest spot on “The Riches,” co-starring Minnie Driver and Eddie Izzard.
In the past year, Michael Trevino was one of the leads in the Hallmark movie “Love Finds a Home,” which also starred Patty Duke. Michael Trevino has also completed work on “The Factory,” a motion picture starring John Cusack, set to be in theaters in 2010.
An avid sportsman, Michael Trevino enjoys football, surfing, body boarding, snow boarding and deep sea fishing. Michael Trevino is also a talented dancer. Michael Trevino now divides his time between Los Angeles and Atlanta, Georgia, where “The Vampire Diaries” filmed before it ended in 2017.
