Parents play a key part in The Charmed Universe.   Over half of the characters in the series are parents and pass on more than just looks to there children, things like powers all come from the powers of the parents. As well as if the child will be good or evil is most of the time all from if the parents were good or evil. Such as the Warren-Halliwell line all witches in the Warren-Halliwell lin have been good (with the execption of Pearl Russell, and a Dark Futured Wyatt Halliwell).
