The Books of Light are tomes written with ink mixed with the blood of warlocks. When the books open, any mortal can chant a spell to steal the powers of a witch.
The books were created by the demon Izax, who placed them in the hands of Witch Hunters for his goal to become all-powerful. Hundreds of books were created with many warlocks killed in the process, but only dozens were used. If the book containing a witch's power was destroyed, that witch's power will be lost forever.
History[]
The Charmed Ones met Izax and Emily Fisk-Navarro in combat, and the two channeled the powers contained within the books to their advantage. Izax strapped Austin Herrick to a chair and drew his blood to make the books for the Charmed Ones and Prue, but the sisters were able to find him and save him before the process was finished. In the end, the sisters overcame their multitude of power and defeated the demon. They then brought the books to Prue, who used the power of the All to restore the stolen powers to their rightful owners.[1]
Powers and Abilities[]
- Power Absorption: The ability to absorb magical being's powers. The books could absorb the powers of witches.
- Power Containment: The ability to confine magical powers. Each book contained one witch's power, which could be channeled with a spell cast by a mortal.
